How I Like Nits Best #4

of the wind in the reeds along the water, of crickets in the heat of summer, of figurative dances made by fish, circles of splashing, bubbling movements… A music of nature softly intruding in a vastly open, free space.

A musical mirage, an auditory illusion of water and movement, of swimming in a lake on an endless summer Sunday.

A zen-feeling of gorgeous simplicity of drops of water and transparent textures.

Aural pointillism, luminosity of sound, sparks of sunlight. And some of the white canvas is showing in the form of silence.

Musical geometry depicting a world filled with the richest abundance of colours, the freest array of forms and movements and the most varied wealth of sounds.

The song is inspired by a painting of Paul Klee titled “Um den Fisch”, set up around the central figure of …a fish. Paul Klee wrote that a creative work never begins with a poetic idea or a word, but rather with the building of one or more figures, the harmonisation of a few colours and tonalities. With ease Nits transpose directives for the visual arts into musical paintings of wonder and beauty.

And away from the water, it feels as if we were inside a Nits satellite orbiting our blue planet. What a dazzling view and sound in Nits space …

As astronauts.
